I'm Krissy- your photographer next door

specializing in children + family portraiture

My background in photography started in my high school photography class. I remember taking home one of the school's DSLR cameras for a home project and thinking "Gosh, I can't wait to get one of my own". So, I saved up the money to buy my very own Nikon DSLR and have been taking photos of everything ever since.


I'm married to my biggest fan and supporter, and together we have four lovely little girls of our own. We are followers of Jesus, ice cream connoisseurs, love the outdoors, serving others and visiting new places.


I get so much joy from capturing sweet gentle moments, authentic smiles and laughs, and photos that contain emotions you can feel when you look at them.

Fact 1

Just like many other mamas of littles, I really enjoy coffee. Even decaf is great- just the aroma and sweet and smooth taste of coffee with some french vanilla creamer brings a calmness to my soul.

Fact 2

I'm also a peds nurse! In high school, even, I knew I wanted to work with children. I just love kids- all of them. Hence, why I have a little crew of my own :)

Fact 3

I love being outdoors and breathing fresh air. The second the temps are above 60º, my windows are open and we're playing outside. I love taking walks, venturing new trails, laying in the grass and looking at the beauty in nature around us.

Fact 4

I was born and raised in Pittsburgh, north east a little bit, towards the fox chapel/west deer area. I've ventured all over the city and it's suburbs and am still discovering amazing little spots that I've never been to before.

Krissy took wonderful maternity and 6 month photos for us! She is very personable and easy to be around!! She made both of our sessions super fun. She was willing to come to our home and capture our photos in the backyard so we didn’t have to wrangle a 1 year old and 2 dogs anywhere which was so greatly appreciated.
